- This is a high-speed train service (up to 300 kph) linking many Spanish cities since the original Madrid-Seville line opened in 1992. By 2010 over 2, 300 km of track were in operation and cities such as Barcelona, Córdoba, Huesca, Valladolid, Málaga, Segovia and Zaragoza were served by the Ave. A service linking Madrid and Galicia is due in 2015.
