It is the official scientific journal of the Working Group "Oncology and Rehabilitation" of the German Association of Hematology and Oncology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hämatologie und Onkologie, DGHO) and edited by the working group and the association.

Tasks in the field of social medicine
In the field of social medicine, the main focal points of research are in health care research - social inequality, health hazards and medico-actuarial science.
www.medizin.uni-tuebingen.deHier werden vielfältige Studien durchgeführt u.a. zu muskuloskelettalen Beschwerden bei der Arbeit, zu arbeitsbedingten Faktoren, die die psychische Gesundheit beeinflussen können, zum Erhalt der Beschäftigungsfähigkeit älter werdender Beschäftigter sowie zu biologischen Belastungen ( z.B. Infektionsgefahren, Gefahr durch Inhalation von Mikroorganismen ) und chemischen Einflussfaktoren ( z.B. Phthalate als Weichmacher, Metalle ).
Schwerpunkte im Bereich Sozialmedizin und Health Management
Im sozialmedizinschen Bereich liegen Forschungsschwerpunkte in der Versorgungsforschung, dem Zusammenspiel von sozialer Ungleichheit und Gesundheit sowie Versicherungsmedizin und Gesundheitssystemforschung auch im europäischen Kontext.
