He is on the the Board of Trustees of Welthungerhilfe ;
and on the Advisory Board of the German foreign and security policy quarterly ‘Zeitschrift für Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik’.
Also he is member of the Advisory Committee on International Programmes at the German Church Development Services (EED) and of the Advisory Board of the Exposure- und Dialogprogramme e.V.
www.giz.dePreuß engagiert sich ehrenamtlich als stellvertretender Vorsitzender der Peter-Hesse-Stiftung.
Er ist Mitglied des Kuratoriums der Deutschen Welthungerhilfe und Beiratsmitglied der Zeitschrift für Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik.
Darüber hinaus ist er Mitglied des Programmbeirats des Evangelischen Entwicklungsdienstes und Fachbeiratsmitglied von Exposure- und Dialogprogramme e.V.
