It is concerned with that point of view, or the Sehpunkt according to Kant, that is in its effect a point of dispersion (Zerstreuungspunkt), yet in the imagination becomes a point of collection (Sammelpunkt), in which the sentiments are unified.
As the arc of participating artists describes Franz West’s lifetime, its movement leads directly to that space of artistic productivity that constitutes West’s history of reception and impact.
