Franz Harnoncourt , Sohn der berühmten Musiker Alice und Nikolaus Harnoncourt , studierte Medizin an der Universität Graz und beendete 1993 seine Ausbildung zum Facharzt für Allgemeinchirurgie .
Im selben Jahr übernahm er die Leitung der chirurgischen Endoskopie am Krankenhaus der Elisabethinen Linz.
