Projects in the second field of action aim to reduce the legitimacy of violence as a means of settling conflicts by promoting discourse on the causes and consequences of conflicts in Mindanao.
GIZ is cooperating in these projects with the Forum Civil Peace Service (forumZFD) and Brot für die Welt – Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst within the context of a cross-agency strategy jointly developed in 2012.
In the Caraga region in the north-eastern part of the island of Mindanao, the Civil Peace Service of GIZ is also cooperating with the ‘Conflict-sensitive resource and asset management’ programme, which GIZ is implementing there on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

In addition the bishop for ministries abroad visited project partners of the Evangelical Entwicklungsdienst ( Development Organisation ) and Brot für die Welt ( Bread for the World ) which are active in the area of political lobbying and rural development.
During his stay he also visited the German speaking congregation in Nairobi and held the sermon in the Sunday worship service.

Während seines Aufenthaltes besuchte er auch die deutschsprachige Gemeinde in Nairobi und hielt dort die Predigt im Sonntagsgottesdienst.
