Die fünftürige und fünfsitzige Version der Studie wird von einem vorn im Motorraum integrierten Elektro motor mit einer maximalen Leistung von 85 kW / 115 PS lautlos ange trieben; die Dauerleistung beträgt 50 kW / 69 PS.
Wie alle Elektromotoren, liefert auch das im Golf eingesetzte Aggregat aus dem Stand heraus ein sehr hohes Drehmomentmaximum ( 270 Newtonmeter ).
