Das nach dem großen Byzantinisten Ivan Dujčev (1907 – 1987) benannte, dann von Prof. Axinia Dzurova und nun von Vassja Velinova in seinem Sinne fortgeführte Institut ist der Kliment Ohridski-Universität Sofia zugehörig.
Es bewahrt mehr als 520 Handschriften und Fragmente auf.
