Bei Plutarch ist zu lesen, dass Caesar während der Schlacht von Thapsus mitten im Kampfgetümmel einen epileptischen Anfall erlitten habe.
Diesen von Plutarch erwähnten Anfall erlitt Caesar zwei Jahre vor seinem Tod.
Auch an anderer Stelle wird darauf hingewiesen, dass Caesar erst gegen Ende seines Lebens an epileptischen Anfällen gelitten habe.
