Das ThermoFinnigan 252 Massenspektrometer ist mit 6 Faraday-Cups zur Messung der Kohlenstoff-, Stickstoff, Sauerstoff- und Schwefelisotopenverhältnisse bestückt.Das Massenspektrometer verfügt über ein dual-inlet Einlasssystem und ermöglicht Messungen mit einer hohen analytischen Reproduzierbarkeit.
Die Reproduzierbarkeit der Sauerstoff- und Kohlenstoffisotopenanalysen an Karbonaten ist besser als 0.06 permil (1 Std.abw.).

Carbon and oxygen isotope analyses are performed using a Kiel III carbonate preparation line connected online to a ThermoFisher 252 mass spectrometer ThermoFisher 252 mass spectrometerThe ThermoFisher 252 mass spectrometer is equipped with 6 Faraday cups for the analysis of carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur isotopes.
The mass spectrometer has dual inlet system and allows analyses of carbonate with a reproducibility <±0.06 permil (1 Std.dev.).
