Das Projekt EnSURE startete im Juli 2009 als Kooperation zwischen der Universität Karlsruhe und der EnBW AG, im Speziellen der Konzerngesellschaft EnBW Systeme Infrastruktur Support GmbH ( EnBW SIS ).
Die EnBW SIS erbringt IT Dienstleistungen für die Kunden und Partner der EnBW im Energiebereich.
Diese Dienstleistungen umfassen die Konzeption und Realisierung sowie den konkreten Betrieb von IT Diensten und Infrastrukturen.
