Vor undenklicher Zeit irritierte den Kakadu der sorglose Lebensstil des Echidna ( Schnabeligel ) so sehr, dass der Vogel den Echidna durch den Busch entlang einer Felswand jagte und ihm einige Stacheln herausriss.
Der Echidna stieß gegen einen kleinen Spalt in der Felswand, der sich stark vergrößerte und zu einer Schlucht formte, in der der Echidna Zuflucht fand.

In time immemorial, the carefree lifestyle of the Echidna ( tachyglossus aculeatus ) irritated the Cockatoo so much that the bird hunted the Echidna through the scrub along a cliff wall and tore out some of its spines.
The Echidna pushed against a small crack in the cliff, which enormously increased in size, becoming today ’ s gorge, in which the Echidna found refuge from the Cockatoo.
