Restleukozyten in Blutpräparaten »Durch die Einführung der Leukozytendepletion in vielen europäischen Ländern konnte sowohl die pharmazeutische Qualität als auch die allgemeine Verträglichkeit von Blutkomponenten deutlich verbessert werden.
Durch die Verwendung von so genannten Adhäsionsfiltern, wie sie unter anderem auch von MacoPharma hergestellt werden, gelingt es, die Anzahl der Leukozyten in den Präparaten um mehrere Logstufen zu reduzieren, was zur Folge hat, dass die Anzahl der Alloimmunreaktionen in der Transfusionsmedizin deutlich abgenommen hat.

Residual leucocytes in blood preparations “By the introduction of leukocyte depletion in many European countries both the pharmaceutical quality and the general compatibility of the blood components was clearly improved.
By the use of so called adhesion filters, as manufactured by MacoPharma amongst others, the number of leukocytes in the preparations was reduced by several orders of magnitude, which has had the consequence that the number of allo-immune reactions has clearly decreased in transfusion medicine.
