www.egms.deComposer Daniel Matej, influenced by both of them, founded his VENI ensemble alongside with the festival Evenings of New Music which created a platform for performances of the music mostly by John Cage and his successors, usually omitted by Melos Ethos, the most prestigeous new music festival in Slovakia founded 1991. VENI ACADEMY, a sequel to VENI, continues in grouping young professional players eager to perform open, graphic or verbal scores.
And so does the the Cluster Ensemble, led by pianist Ivan Šiller, or the improvising orchestra Musica falsa et ficta, one of the various projects of composer and saxophonist Miro Tóth.
His projects, like the series of audio-visual performances named Frutti di Mare, are of the most radical as far as conception and artistic means used – reaching from extreme playing techniques to selection of topics adressing various social taboos or aiming to political provocation.

Seine Projekte, wie die Serie von audiovisuellen Aufführungen, die Frutti di Mare genannt wurde, gehören zu dem Radikalsten, was die Konzeption und verwendete künstlerische Mittel betrifft – sie reichen von extremen Spieltechniken bis zur Auswahl der Themen, die sich mit unterschiedlichen gesellschaftlichen Tabus beschäftigen, oder deren Ziel eine politische Provokation ist.
