Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) The organisation promotes the territorial development approach within the scope of its rural development activities in various regions of Latin America, and supports other organisations located in Latin America.
IICA and RUTA have cooperated on developing a Regional Rural Development Project, ECADERT (2009).
www.giz.deAuf Basis der fachlichen Vorbereitung durch die Klimaallianz wurde ein Vorhaben zur Förderung länderspezifischer Klimaschutzmaßnahmen ( Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions, NAMA ) entwickelt.
Aktuell wird gemeinsam mit der ländlichen Entwicklungsbank FIRA (Fideicomisos Instituidos en Relación con la Agricultura) eine Maßnahme zur Energieeffizienz in der Agroindustrie entwickelt, die Minderungs- und Anpassungsthemen innovativ integriert.
Zusammen mit dem mexikanischen Umweltministerium und anderen relevanten Institutionen hat die GIZ ein Instrument zur Identifizierung und Priorisierung von Maßnahmen zur Anpassung an den Klimawandel entwickelt.

With the rural development bank FIRA (Fideicomisos Instituidos en Relación con la Agricultura – Trust Funds for Rural Development), a scheme for energy efficiency in the agro-industrial sector that integrates mitigation and adaptation issues in an innovative manner is currently being prepared.
Working with the Mexican Environment Secretariat and other relevant institutions, GIZ has developed an instrument for identifying and prioritising climate change adaptation measures.
